What is Registration?
At the beginning of each rugby season your rugby club will ask you to complete a NZRU Rugby Administrator/Volunteer Registration form. By completing the registration form you will be registered as a rugby administrator/volunteer in New Zealand for that rugby season.
Benefits of Being Registered
Being registered ensures that you are recognised for your efforts and are supported by your local Provincial Rugby Union and the New Zealand Rugby Union. The New Zealand Rugby Union often show their appreciation to registered volunteers by sending special offers such as priority access to tickets for AllBlacks test matches.
What Happens to Your Information?
The information on your registration form is entered into a secure national rugby membership database managed by your local Provincial Rugby Union. The database is used for rugby administration purposes and your details can only be viewed by your club or school, your local Provincial Rugby Union, and the New Zealand Rugby Union.
Your details may also be used by the sponsors of rugby, unless you identified on your registration form that you do not wish to receive promotional or sponsors material.
The New Zealand Rugby Union and your local Provincial Rugby Union also use the database to analyse membership numbers for developing initiatives to further support rugby in New Zealand.
Signing the Form
You are required to sign your own registration form so that you are protected under the New Zealand Privacy Act.
