You may be very busy with other areas within your club and finding someone else to take responsibility for the website could be difficult.
Below are some ideas on how you can have a website for your club and spend minimal time updating it:
- Send a newsletter to all your club members asking for help with your website. You could be surprised and find a member who is in the web industry, a student who would like some practical experience, or a computer enthusiast in your rugby club.
- You could have a simple website which will contain content that rarely changes. For example, about the club, club contact details, forms to download, club policy etc. This information alone will save existing volunteer time as phone calls will be reduced.
- You can assign responsibility to a number of people to update a particular part of the website. For example, one person manages club stories; another manages the events page etc.
