Community Rugby Insurance Programme

All registered players, coaches, managers, administrators, medical professionals, referees and rugby clubs in New Zealand are automatically covered under the New Zealand Rugby Insurance Programme.

Personal Insurance

New Zealand Rugby Personal Accident Insurance provides compensation for the following:

  • Permanent total disablement
  • Permanent and incurable paralysis of all limbs
  • Permanent total loss of sight of both eyes
  • Permanent loss of sight in one eye
  • Permanent total loss of use or loss of two limbs
  • Permanent total loss of use or loss of one limb
  • Accidental death

Club Liability Insurance

The Club Liability Insurance programme is fully funded by New Zealand Rugby to provide all rugby clubs with a broad level of legal liability protection. The policy provides the following cover:

  • General/Public Liability
  • Employers Liability
  • Statutory Liability
  • Association Directors Liability
  • Employment Disputes
