Positive Sideline Behaviour
Ensuring our sidelines are a supportive, passionate, positive environment for everyone involved in rugby.
Rugby holds a very special position in our country, giving us an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.
We support the health, safety and well-being of those involved in rugby at every level across our country, for the good of the game and the communities where it’s played.
Our medical specialist, Senior Scientist Dr Ken Quarrie, oversees our work in Health and Safety, while a range of other people across the organisation are focused on player safety progammes.
We aspire to take a holistic approach to the welfare of our people – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social, focusing on the power of rugby to assist them to improve their lives.
NZR aims to create an environment that is attractive and welcoming, a game for all.
A programme to help players, coaches, support staff and families in the rugby community to support their own wellbeing and that of others.
