Kerry McKenzie named a finalist in the 2026 NZ Sport and Recreation Awards

We’d like to congratulate Kerry McKenzie, our General Manager of Brand, Marketing & Digital, on being named a finalist for the Susie Simcock Future Leaders’ Scholarship at the 2026 NZ Sport and Recreation Awards.

Over the past four years, Kerry has built a strong track record in rugby marketing, driving growth across Super Rugby Pacific and New Zealand Rugby’s Teams in Black brands.

Her leadership has consistently strengthened audience engagement, broadcast performance, and fan connection across the game.

As a marketing leader, Kerry has helped grow  the All Blacks’ global fanbase from 285 million to 377 million, increased Teams in Black digital audiences by 3.1 million followers, supported a sold-out 2025 domestic home test season, and lifted the Black Ferns’ digital audience from around 500,000 to more than 1.4 million.

As a people leader, Kerry prioritises connection, development, and confidence within her team. She invests in individuals, creates meaningful growth opportunities, and empowers her team to step into leadership, take ownership, and succeed.

This strong sense of connection extends to her stakeholder relationships, where she is a trusted partner across the rugby and commercial ecosystem. Highly collaborative in her approach, Kerry shares knowledge, builds alignment, and fosters partnerships that strengthen both strategy and delivery across the game.

The Susie Simcock Future Leaders's Scholarship recognises emerging leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership and impact within their organisations and communities. Being a finalist is a testament to Kerry’s leadership and dedication, and we’re proud to have her as part of our team. Inspiring and unifying through rugby.
