NZR has developed guidance for clubs to foster inclusive and welcoming environments for women and girls. This guidance includes tips and considerations that are informed by our insights and further affirmed by women in clubs through a 2024 survey. The guidelines provide ideas, considerations and resource links to help clubs create supportive environments that prioritise the needs and the voices of women and girls.

Period Products in Community Sports Clubs

In 2024, Sport NZ launched a 1 year research project placing free period products in 48 community sport clubs nationwide. The project aimed to understand the impact of free period
products on inclusivity for female players. Sport NZ commissioned Malatest International
(now Tiria) to evaluate the initiative.
